Kaptur Treatment & Recovery was founded on a simple belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to begin again. Since opening the Erie County Detox Center in 2018, we have provided medically supervised withdrawal management for individuals seeking a safe, supportive first step toward recovery. As the needs of our community grew, so did our commitment to providing comprehensive care. In 2024, Kaptur expanded to include crisis services, and in 2025 our campus evolved to offer both crisis stabilization and residential addiction treatment—creating a stronger foundation for long-term recovery.
Today, Kaptur Treatment & Recovery serves individuals throughout Sandusky, Erie County, Ohio, and surrounding communities with a connected continuum of addiction treatment services designed to support every stage of recovery. Located along the scenic shores of Lake Erie and adjacent to one of Sandusky’s beautiful public parks, our campus offers a peaceful environment where individuals can step away from daily challenges and focus on healing. We believe recovery happens best in a place that encourages hope, wellness, self-reflection, and new beginnings.
